How to Make Holiday Spiced Coffee

Brewing a fresh cup of coffee should be every coffee lover’s daily routine. In 2020, it baffles me that so many people still go to the grocery store to buy ground coffee and expecting to get great results. First, no one knows when that coffee was roasted. Secondly, most of the coffee in local grocery stores does not talk about the growing region or the tasting notes. With a coffee subscription plan, you get to know more about coffee and other useful tricks that add value to your morning cup of coffee.

Do not settle for another boring cup of coffee. You can spice up your coffee by adding cinnamon into your ground coffee just before brewing.

Ground cinnamon adds a new dimension to the flavor. In addition, medical research shows that cinnamon contains antioxidants which have anti-inflammatory effects and as such may help lower your risk of disease.

The following are the ingredients you will need to make a cinnamon-spiced cup of coffee

  1. 3/4 cup ground coffee

  2. 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

  3. 2 tablespoons of ground Cinnamon

  4. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  5. 6 cups of water

Instructions:

  • Place coffee, sugar, and cinnamon in a filter in the brew basket of the coffee maker. Place vanilla in an empty pot of coffee maker. Add water to coffee maker; brew as directed.

  • Pour into serving cups. Garnish with whipped cream and additional cinnamon, if desired.
